smart scootering
Live to enjoy another healthy day!
On smart scootering
Be careful when renting a scooter.
They can be dangerous, unstable, other drivers unpredictable, and the surrounding views, distracting.
We want you to avoid an inevitably accident with an ugly road rash from skidding on the pavement at 20 mph & the replacement cost of a new motorbike, or worse yet a visit to the local emergency room with broken bones, a 5 figure $$$$$ hospital bill and the replacement cost of a new motorbike.
But when careful, the coast , not your bones, is your oyster to break open and enjoy.
So don't be a witless willy. Treat scooters with respect. They're more than just cute, more than a baby motorcycle, more than a bike pretending to be grown-ups with an engine and everything.
Though they are so much darn fun there are some taboo things:
NEVER:
Don't Rubberneck the sights, instead pull over safely, park and enjoy.
Don't Chat with the companion sitting behind, instead work out the signaling and signals before taking off.
Don't Text or take photos with one hand and steering with the other, instead - FOCUS or DON'T RIDE.
Never drink alcohol and then get on scooter.
Remember: a scooter is essentially an undersized, underpowered, under-stabilized motorcycle.

Ride like a Local. scooters are dangerous. tourists can be stupid.
(Not people: tourists.
People who are perfectly sane, rational, and responsible at home often transform into giddy idiots after just a few hours on an exciting, exotic, sun-drenched vacation.)
Therefore:
No Alcohol any time near or on the scooter. Use a designated driver or call Uber Lyft.
No Riding on the Sand. Cost of an engine replacement: $1200.00
No Freeway Riding.
No Riding in the Rain.
Ride Defensively
Use turn signals. And turn them off.
The Muffler is Hot.
Ask for help using the kickstand.
Scooters fool you into thinking you ARE MORE AGILE THAN cars.
You are not equal.
You are perched precariously ON top OF BENT TUBULAR metal WITH plastic & 4 INCH WIDE wheels.
CAR drivers are SECURE in a protective FRAME WITH airbags AND SEATBELTS TO HOLD THEM IN.
If you get hit by a car, you'll be road kill.
they'll KEEP DRIVING THINKING they hit a LOCAL SPEED BUMP.
